How long until I see the first useful number?

Will my team actually adopt this, or will it die in week 3 like the last OKR tool?

Adoption was the design constraint from day one. Teams continue to work on familiar kanban boards - that doesn't change. The only new behaviour is linking each task to a goal or initiative, which takes seconds and is the difference between work that's seen and work that gets buried. There are no quarterly OKR rituals to perform, no separate strategy tool to keep up to date. If a team uses TaskVal for their day-to-day work, leadership gets the alignment view for free.

How is this different from buying a project manager plus an OKR tool?
